A crown is used to cover a broken, weakened tooth or one that has been extensively filled. It strengthens the remaining portion of tooth, restores its shape and is tooth-coloured to blend in with your natural teeth.

A crown can disguise a large unsightly filling or protect a tooth that has had root canal therapy and ensure it is functional. Crowns are also used to secure a bridge or denture in the mouth.
