Here at Darrell House Dental Practice in Dunstable we host special events for children throughout the year, giving children the chance to win an amazing family holiday to Disneyland in Paris. Every event is designed to inspire the imagination with fun-filled themes and seasonal special touches. The next seasonal event in the calendar is our upcoming Halloween celebration in October 2019:
- FEBRUARY: Calling All Superheroes!
- APRIL: Easter Egg-stravaganza!
- AUGUST: Time to shine…it’s Summertime!
- OCTOBER: Happy Halloween! Think cuties not spookies – no scaring allowed!

Our intention is to encourage your children to see regular visits to the dentist as an important part of maintaining healthy teeth and gums for the future. To educate youngsters early is the key to changing society’s viewpoint on visiting the dentist. Our passion is to work with young people and the community in making the experience of the dentist fun and less scary – we are committed to building positive memories to last a lifetime! During our children’s events we have prize competitions for the best fancy dress and for more creative children there’s a chance to win vouchers in our colouring competitions. The ultimate annual prize for one of our lucky patients is a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Disneyland Paris! This competition runs during our Superheroes event in February and our Halloween event in October.
Our children’s events always fall on school holidays, so coming to the dentist won’t impact on your child’s school attendance record during school term times. We also open later in the evenings and on Saturdays to accommodate the busy lifestyle of the 21st century family!

“Jakub, I have some exciting news,” said Mummy, as soon as she came to collect me from school. “We are going to Disneyland, you won the competition at the dentist" - I couldn’t believe I had actually won!
And I still couldn’t believe it until we went to collect the prize. It was a Saturday. The practice was decorated with balloons, and when we reached second floor, dentists and nurses gathered there, all shouted “Congratulations!”, clapped and cheered. Sushruta, my dentist, shook my hand and handed me the prize. This is when I knew we were going to Disneyland and I was so happy!!
My mum, dad, my brother and I took Eurostar from the magnificent London St Pancras. The roof of the train station was made of glass and there were statues everywhere. We loved our train journey and we finally got to our very nice hotel with a TV that only played Disney Channels.
We went on many rides but my favourite one was playing the Star Wars theme tune and so we went on this ride 4 times. At the end of it everyone was singing the Star Wars tune. We went on many other rides and I remember only Rock n Roller Coaster, Studio Tram Tour, Behind the Magic, RC Racer, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin and Ratatouille. We also went on Indiana Jones and Big Thunder Mountain.
The trip went very quickly. When we got home, the feeling of happiness was still there. Because I have the pictures to remember our magical family time at Disneyland Paris, thanks to Luton Dental Centre.

We are extremely proud to announce this February’s prize draw winner as Erin Neill, aged 11. Erin has said that she screamed a lot when they got the phone call. They were actually at a friend’s birthday party when they got the call and Erin has been excitedly telling everyone that she has won.
Erin, along with her mum and dad, are booked in for their trip during the October Half Term holiday and have also added a couple of extra days so they can all visit the Eiffel Tower and other sights in Paris while they are there.
Erin said “I’m so excited to be going to Disney land Paris, when mum told me I had won I started screaming, I’m looking forward to going on the Ratatouille – Recipe for Adventure 4D ride, seeing Sleeping Beauty’s Castle and going to the Forest of Enchantment with Merida, Baloo, Tarzan, Rapunzel and Pocahontas telling tales in the form of a fantastic ‘Disney Musical Adventure’”

We would like to thank The Darrell House Dental Practice and Obex Dental for a fantastic break in Disneyland Paris. We were very surprised when we received the phone call announcing that Thomas was the lucky winner. Our thanks also extend to our travel agent as she worked really hard to find us the best deals possible at the most convenient times to us.
We then spent an amazing two days in Disneyland Paris. The boys finally met Mickey Mouse, which was the highlight of the trip, and also managed to do most of the child friendly rides in the park. Our favorite ones were “It’s a Small World” and “Peter Pan” which really gave us the impression of flying high up in the sky. Our tickets gave us access to both the Disney Adventure Park and Disney Studios, so we also popped over to the Studios and visited the Toy Story area and enjoyed a ride on “Slinky dog”. On the way out we were stopped by a Star Wars Stormtrooper parade but we made it out in the end safely without the need for any Rebel assistance…..
We also tried a number of scary rides such as the “Thunder mountain” rollercoaster and the “Tower of Terror” which provided lots of “chilling” fun!
Our half board allowed us to use our dinner/lunch voucher in restaurants around the park so we had lovely meals at the Agrabah Café which also offered many vegetarian/vegan options.
We will remember and cherish the many pleasant moments from this Disneyland Paris family trip for years to come. These are memories which the boys will indeed treasure for a long time.

Message from Parent: “We were so shocked and surprised when we got the call from Obex Dental confirming that we had won a trip to Disneyland Paris!!! Syma couldn't believe that she won she was screaming and jumping up and down, the kids had always wished to see Disneyland Paris and their wish was granted.
One word to sum up Disneyland Paris was - "magical" it was a feeling none of us felt before it was totally magical and we all loved every minute of our trip, it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience, there was never a dull moment thanks to Obex Dental”.
